Personal Preferences

Each user can adjust their own settings:

    • Click profile icon → Settings

    • Go to Notifications

    • Toggle notifications on/off

    • Save

Personal settings override company defaults (except mandatory notifications).

Quiet Hours

Stop notifications during off-hours:

Company Default

    • Go to Settings → Notifications → Quiet Hours

    • Set start time (e.g., 9:00 PM)

    • Set end time (e.g., 6:00 AM)

    • Configure ASAP override (urgent notifications bypass)

Personal Override

Individuals can set their own quiet hours different from company default.

Email Digest

Combine multiple notifications into a summary:

    • Go to Notification Settings

    • Enable "Email Digest"

    • Set frequency: Daily or Weekly

    • Set delivery time

Digest includes:

    • All notifications since last digest

    • Summary of activity

    • Items requiring attention

Notification Frequency Controls

Prevent notification overload:

    • Batch similar notifications — Group within time window

    • Maximum per hour — Cap notifications (except urgent)

    • Throttle chat — Group chat messages if many arrive quickly

Customer Notifications

Configure what customers receive:

    • Go to Settings → Customer Notifications

    • Configure each event:

    • Quote sent

    • Rental confirmed

    • Delivery scheduled

    • Invoice sent

    • Payment reminder

Customers receive notifications via email.

Tips for Notification Settings

📝 Start Conservative

Enable less at first. Add more if people miss information.

💰 Respect Personal Time

Use quiet hours. People need time away from work.

📂 Make Critical Mandatory

Some notifications should never be disabled.

🎯 Review Periodically

Check if notification settings still match how the team works.

ℹ️

Note: Too many notifications leads to people ignoring them. Be selective about what truly needs real-time alerting.
