Tracking Options

Working Hours Only

Track only when clocked in:

    • Respects staff privacy outside work hours

Job-Based Tracking

Track only during active jobs:

    • Starts when staff marks job "In Progress"

    • Minimal tracking, maximum privacy

Continuous Tracking

Track throughout the shift:

Privacy Considerations

CloudRent Pro respects privacy:

    • Staff control — Can disable in phone settings

    • Transparency — Staff know when tracking is active

    • Data retention — Location history has configurable retention

    • Access control — Only authorised managers can view

ℹ️

Note: Be transparent with staff about GPS tracking. Explain what's tracked, why, and who can see it. This builds trust.

Troubleshooting GPS

Location Not Updating

    • Check phone has location services enabled

    • Verify CloudRent Pro has location permission

    • Check battery saver isn't blocking

    • Ensure internet connectivity

Inaccurate Location

    • GPS is less accurate indoors

    • Urban canyons (tall buildings) affect accuracy

    • Give phone time to get GPS fix

Tips for GPS Tracking

📝 Set Clear Policies

Document when and how tracking is used. Share with staff.

💰 Use for Efficiency

GPS should help route planning, not micromanage people.

📂 Respect Privacy

Track what's necessary, not everything possible.

🎯 Act on Data

Use insights to improve operations, not just monitor.

⚠️

Warning: Check local laws regarding employee location tracking. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Consult legal advice if unsure.
