Job Assignments
Assign staff to deliveries, pickups, and service jobs so everyone knows what they're doing and where they need to be. Assignments connect people to work and drive the notification and tracking systems.

Assigning from the Rental
Open the rental
Go to Jobs/Delivery tab
Find the delivery or pickup job
Click "Assign"
Select staff member(s)
Save
Assigning from Logistics
Go to Logistics
Find the job in the queue
Drag staff name onto the job
Or click job → Assign

Tip: The Logistics dispatch board is designed for quick assignments. Drag-and-drop is fastest when scheduling multiple jobs.
Checking Availability
When assigning, CloudRent Pro shows:
Staff availability — Who's working that day
Existing assignments — What they're already doing
Workload — How many jobs assigned
Staff marked unavailable or heavily loaded are flagged.
Multiple Assignees
For jobs needing multiple people:
Click "Assign"
Select multiple staff (Ctrl/Cmd + click)
Or use a crew
Save
All assigned staff receive notifications and see the job in their list.
Accept/Decline Workflow
When staff are assigned:
Notification sent to assigned staff
Staff can Accept or Decline
Manager notified of response
Declined jobs need reassignment
Configure whether accept/decline is required in Settings.
Viewing Assignments
Staff View
Staff see their assigned jobs in:
"My Jobs" list
Dashboard today section
Mobile app job list
Manager View
Managers see assignments in:
Logistics dispatch board
Staff profile → Jobs tab
Rental → Jobs tab
Reassigning Jobs
To change who's assigned:
Open the job
Click "Reassign"
Select new staff
Original assignee notified of removal
New assignee notified
Unassigning
To remove an assignment entirely:
Open the job
Click "Unassign" next to the staff name
Confirm
The job returns to the unassigned queue.

Note: Jobs should always have someone assigned before the scheduled time. Unassigned jobs risk being missed.
Workload Balancing
The dispatch board shows job counts per staff member:
Light workload — Can take more jobs
Normal workload — Appropriately loaded
Heavy workload — Consider redistributing
Balance assignments to avoid overloading individuals.
Tips for Assignments
📝 Check Licences
Only assign people qualified for the equipment being delivered.
💰 Consider Geography
Group nearby jobs for the same driver when possible.
📂 Communicate Clearly
Make sure job details are complete before assigning.

Find out why jobs are declined and address patterns.
