Staff chat provides instant messaging between team members within CloudRent Pro. Send direct messages, create group conversations, and broadcast announcements — all in one place.

Starting a Conversation
Direct Message
Click Chat in the sidebar
Click "New Message"
Select a staff member
Type your message
Send
Group Chat
Click Chat → "New Group"
Name the group
Add participants
Create
Sending Messages
Open the conversation
Type in the message box
Press Enter or click Send
Messages appear instantly for all participants.
Attachments
Share files and images:
Click the attachment icon
Select a file
Add optional message
Send
Supported: Images, PDFs, documents. Max file size: 10MB.

Tip: Use attachments to share photos of equipment issues, delivery confirmations, or documents that need quick review.
Announcements
Broadcast to everyone (Admin only):
Click Chat → "New Announcement"
Select audience: All Staff, specific roles, or individuals
Write your announcement
Send
Announcements appear prominently and can be pinned.
Read Receipts
See who has read your messages:
Single check — Delivered
Double check — Read
In groups, click to see who has read.
Notifications
Chat notifications are sent via:
In-app — Badge counts and alerts
Push — Mobile notifications (if app installed)
Email — Optional, for missed messages
Configure notification preferences in Settings → Notifications.
